That nane be offendit heir,
I will speik planelie, to rais ȝour hartis quiklie,

All Paipis and prelatis, and spirituall estaitis
That thinkis ȝe haue na peir,
Cast away ȝour wairis, ȝour princelie effairis

O hirdis of Israel, heir ȝe the Lordis bell
Knelland fast in ȝour eir,
Quhilk biddis in plaine, leue ȝour triffillis vane

Personis that hes cure to preiche vnto the pure
Ȝe haue ȝour waigis to deir,
The layit ȝe will not teiche, nor ȝit goddis word will preiche

I will ȝow exhort, in termis richt schort,
Baith Preist, Channoun, Monk, and Freir,
To slaik of ȝour sleuth, & schaw furth the treuth

And ȝe brethren all Ecclesiasticall
Serue ȝour Lord God in feir.
Leue ȝour ceremonyis of ȝour awin fund gyis

Ȝour coistlie reparationis, ȝour offeringis and oblatiounis
Ȝour curious notis in the queir
On the day of dreid, sall stand in litill steid
Quhen the Lordis sentence drawis neir.

Princes and Kingis, that sa Ryall Ringis
That suld haue all rewle and steir,
Do Iustice equall, baith to greit and small
The day of the Lord drawis neir.
On the pure cōmounis, suffer na oppressiounis
Bot humblie thair plaintis heir,
With extreme Iustice, trespassouris punische,

Syne with ȝour sword, let furth Goddis word
Our heuinly Mirrour cleir,
And anker ȝow sure on haly Scripture

Erlis, Lordis, and Barrounis, hurt not ȝour cōmounis
In body, gudis, nor geir:
Do ȝe the contrair, ȝour housis will misfair

Be trew to the Crowne defend ȝour Regioun
That ȝour foirbearis coft sa deir,
And euer haue Eye, vnto ȝour libertie

I cry in generall, on Spirituall & Temporall,
This lectioun that ȝe leir:
Remember alwayis, that schort be ȝour dayis

That day sall horribill, be and eik terribill;
Whan that Iust Iudge sall appeir:

At ane Trumpet blast, we sall be all agast,
Heuin, hell, eird, sall it heir,
Syne stand befoir the Iuge, without ony refuge

We sall giue rekning, of our sinfull leuing
We haue spendit in all maneir,
As we haue deseruit, sa sall we be seruit
The day of the Lord drawis neir.
That day the faithfull, salbe richt Ioyfull
Befoir Christ quhen thay compeir.
Bot the vnfaithfull, salbe richt wofull
Quhen the Lordis sentence drawis neir.
To vnbeleuaris all, this sentence giue he sall,
With Ire and awfull cheir,
Pas ȝe to the hell, with Deuillis to dwell,
The heuin ȝe sall neuer cum neir.
The Iust sall all stand, euin at his richt hand,
Defendit from all dangeir.
To quhome he sall say, richt sweitly that day
The sentence quhilk drawis neir.
Cum heir my Elect, and my awin sweit Son
Ȝour hyre sall not be in weir,
Baith Saull and body, in heuin Eternallie
Thay sall dwell with me richt neir.
