Cæsar, my verse you graciously approv'd;The honour Momus heard of, and was mov'd:
Yet more than praises, presents you bestow;
Still grows his envy as your favours grow:
See now the tortur'd fool his fingers bite!
Give, Cæsar, give, and make him burst with spight.
