MOTIONS FOR EXECUTIVE SESSION
The following motions were adopted unanimously by the vote of all voting Visitors present:
That the Board of Visitors of the University of Virginia go into Executive Session for the purpose of consulting with the General Counsel concerning certain pending litigation involving the University, as well as specific legal matters requiring the advice of counsel, as
That the Audit Committee of the Board of Visitors of the University of Virginia go into Executive Session for the purpose of considering the University Auditor's recently completed fiscal audits and performance evaluations of certain University departments and programs, including Medical Center Payroll, Follow-up Audit of the University and Health Sciences Center, 1992-1994, EDP Follow-up Audit, 1996, 1995 Game Settlements, Printing Expenditures, Financial Aid, and W-2 Preparation and Distribution (University and Medical Center), as provided for in Section 2.1-344 A.(1) of the Code of Virginia.
That the Educational Policy Committee of the Board of Visitors of the University of Virginia go into Executive Session for the purpose of discussing personnel matters pertaining to the appointment, assignment, reappointment, promotion, performance, compensation, discipline, separation and resignation of specific faculty members of the University of Virginia, as provided for in Section 2.1-344 A.(1) of the Code of Virginia.
That the Finance Committee of the Board of Visitors of the University of Virginia go into Executive Session for the purpose of consulting with the General Counsel concerning certain pending litigation, and other legal matters requiring the legal advice of the General Counsel, as provided for in Section 2.1-344 A.(7) of the Code of Virginia.
That the Health Affairs Committee of the Board of Visitors of the University of Virginia go into Executive Session for the purpose of discussing the investment of public funds where competition or bargaining is involved when if made public initially the financial interest of the University would be adversely affected, as well as proposed business development strategies of the Medical Center, as provided for in Section 2.1-344 A.(6) and (24) of the Code of Virginia.
