Greenville, Augusta County, w/envelope: fears she loves another and accuses her
of unfaithfulness: “If you should learn to love another man better
than me; or that you could enjoy your future happiness better with your first
lover [not John P. Lightner; he had been dead since 1862] than with boor W [poor
William] I would be heartless not to free you & forgive you ... but pray
to Almighty God to help you to prove true to whoever you love best”
