Bid the gallant champions hail!
Who have struggled well and long,
In the cause that should prevail—
Truth and right, 'gainst fraud and wrong!
Laurels they have oft before,
Fairly gathered in your sight;
Let them gain one laurel more,
By a triumph here to-night.
