CONSOLATION.
[_]

(Pl. “Blachavas.”)

Child of grief,—whose heart is lonely,
Man,—whose lot is sorrow only,
Thou to whom the world is dreary,
Pilgrim, desolate and weary,
Though no bliss be thine below,
Calm thine agony of woe.
Art thou guilty?—weep no more,—
All thy sin thy Saviour bore:
Art thou sad?—O look to heav'n,
Claim with joy the promise given;
Blest are they that weep below,
Blest whose tears repentant flow.
