WHITE VIOLETS

White dreams,
White thoughts,
White hopes!
Shy violets,
White violets,
In woodland ways, by the brook side, on the hill-slopes!
Strange joys,
New thrills,
Vague fears:
Violets,
White violets,
White kisses from the lips of Spring, white dewy tears.
White hands,
O lead me where
The white Spring strays
'Mid violets,
White violets,
On the hill-slopes, by the brook side, in woodland ways.
