THE FOREST VOICES
I heard in the woodland a sound
From the heart of each visible thing;
And asking the reason, I found
'Twas the Earth giving thanks for Spring.
From the heart of each visible thing;
And asking the reason, I found
'Twas the Earth giving thanks for Spring.
The Youth of the World had returned,
And the days were a Song of Re-birth,
Till I heard a great sighing, and learned
'Twas Spring taking leave of the Earth.
And the days were a Song of Re-birth,
Till I heard a great sighing, and learned
'Twas Spring taking leave of the Earth.
