[Our Refuge is th' eternal God]
“The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the ever-lasting
arms.”—Deuteronomy xxxiii. 27.
Our Refuge is th' eternal God;
Beneath are everlasting arms;
His love, a shield both strong and broad
Defends from all that tempts or harms.
Though care at times our portion be,
The needful grace he will impart,
If only to His arms we flee,
And seek a shelter in His heart.
