CONSTANCY.
My Truth shall like the Dial stand,
Whether the Sun, with radiance bland—
The Sun of Love and Hope—shines there,
Or frowns the Midnight of Despair!
Whether the Sun, with radiance bland—
The Sun of Love and Hope—shines there,
Or frowns the Midnight of Despair!
Howe'er thy feebler heart grow strange,
My Constancy can know no change;
Through doubt, through wrong, through strife, through ill,—
Save but from deep to deeper still!
My Constancy can know no change;
Through doubt, through wrong, through strife, through ill,—
Save but from deep to deeper still!
