Orpheus went, as Poets tell,
To bring Euridice from Hell;
There he might hope to find a Wife,
The Pest and Bane of humane Life.

The Damn'd from all their Pains were eas'd;
Not that his Musick so much pleas'd,
But that the Oddness of the Matter
Had justly made the Wonder greater.

Pluto, enrag'd that any He
Should enter his Dominion free;
And to inflict the sharpest Pain,
Made him a Husband once again.
