[Once forms of conjuring were penal all]
Once forms of conjuring were penal all,And prayers to Beelzebub were capital;
And once, when priests the nation over-awed,
Gifts to the poor were reckon'd gifts to God.
Now to give lands to God is counted evil;
But all have freedom to adore the devil.
