With radiant charms, with virtue crown'd,
And wit above her years,
Fair Amarylla bloom'd awhile,
Then left the world in tears.

The bow of Iris thus display'd,
We praise th' ideal form,
'Till all the glorious colours fade,
Succeeded by a storm.
