[The dad, all in raptures, once shew'd to his brother]

The dad, all in raptures, once shew'd to his brother
The works of his son; saying, where's such another?
The uncle survey'd them without least surprize,
And instant exclaims, how can poets be wise?
When Poverty's frowns ever keep them at bay.
Hush! hush! cries the father, Content is their pay.
