The Psalmes Of David In Meeter | ||
PSAL. LII.
Why dost thou boast, O mighty man
of mischief and of ill?
The goodnesse of Almighty God
endureth ever stil.
Thy tongue mischievous calumnies
deviseth subtilly,
Like to a razor, sharp to cut,
working deceitfully.
of mischief and of ill?
The goodnesse of Almighty God
endureth ever stil.
Thy tongue mischievous calumnies
deviseth subtilly,
Like to a razor, sharp to cut,
working deceitfully.
Ill more then good, and more then truth,
thou lovest to speak wrong:
Thou lovest all devouring words,
O thou deceitfull tongue.
So God shall thee destroy for ay,
remove thee, pluck the out
Quite from thy house, out of the land
of life he shal thee root.
thou lovest to speak wrong:
Thou lovest all devouring words,
O thou deceitfull tongue.
So God shall thee destroy for ay,
remove thee, pluck the out
Quite from thy house, out of the land
of life he shal thee root.
The righteous shal it see, and fear,
and laugh at him they shal:
Lo, this the man is, that did not
make GOD his strength at all:
But he, in his abundant wealth,
his confidence did place;
And he took strength unto himself
from his own wickednesse.
and laugh at him they shal:
Lo, this the man is, that did not
make GOD his strength at all:
But he, in his abundant wealth,
his confidence did place;
And he took strength unto himself
from his own wickednesse.
