The first set of Madrigals and Mottets of 5 | ||
[XIII. Lais now old, that erst attempting lasse]
Lais now old, that erst attempting lasse,To Goddesse Uenus consecrates her Glass
For she her selfe hath now no vse of one,
No dimpled cheekes hath she to gaze vpon,
She cannot see, her spring-time damaske grace,
Nor dare she looke vpon her Winter face.
