IX.Though my carriage be but

[1]

Though my carriage be but carelesse,
Though my looks be of the sternest,
Yet my passions are comparelesse,
When I loue, when I loue, I loue in earnest.

2

No my wits are not so wild,
But a gentle soule may yoake me,
Nor my heart so hard compilde,
But it melts, if loue prouoke me.
