The hovse of correction | ||
Theeues falling out, true men come by their goods.
Two cheating Mates, whose only trade was shift,To cheate a Countrey fellow was their drift:
The place being fit, they quarrel'd, and fell out,
And needes at Buffets they would haue a bout:
The honest man stept in to part the fray;
But they in bustling, Nim'd his Purse away:
Which after missing, he (poore man) laments,
And that he parted them, greatly repents:
And laughed amaine at the poore simple sot,
Swearing, the Ancient Prouerbe they had crost,
Since they fell out, and he his goods had lost.
