109. On our Saviours Crosse.

Our Saviours Crosse, beguilt with guiltlesse blood,
Was fram'd (as some write) of foure kinds of wood,

Palme, Cedar, Cypresse, Olive; which might show
That blessings thence to the foure parts should flow
Of the vast world, and from the foure windes should
Christs flocke be fetcht to his thrice-blessed Fold.
