V ertue surmounts all vayne desire of vvelth,
O r priuate gaines got vvith vnhonest vse:
L et man therfore consider of his helth,
V ainglory dooth bothe minde and life abuse:
P roou'd it hath beene by reasons manifolde,
T hat mortall Fame dooth run by headlesse chaunce:
V ertue, her Fame cannot to oft be tolde,
O rdayned aye the Godly to aduaunce.
V ayne then it is on bad I vvist to glaunce.
S tay fast thy faith in him that rules abooue:
N o time deferre to turn from vvickednes:
E ternall Fame, Faith and assured Looue,
S hall you adorne in vvorlds of rich increase.
