Of the Ebbing and Flowing of the Sea.

The Sea which always constant Ebbs and Flows,
Is like the Hammer of a Clock that goes;
For as it, coming to the Notch, doth strike,
So VVater where 'tis empty doth the like:
For VVater when it Flows, is cast out still,
And when it Ebbs, runs back, that place to fill.
