MUSICK.

Non clamans, sed amans psallit in aure Dei.

Amphion's musick was so rare,
That with him no man might compare,
And Orpheus with his silver string
Did stones, and trees together bring.
But when I sigh, or weep, or pray,
I sweeter musick make than they.
All things were fram'd by God above,
And all things do in union move
They say no musick to the ears,
Is like the musick of the sphears.

But yet to me it doth appear
No musick's like the conscience cleer.
