Wherby to ryches ye myght growe,
And ydlenes to forsake,
This lytle boke wyth dylygence
Se that ye reade and marke,
Throughly notynge the good sence
Contayned in this warke,
Pythy precepts you shall here fynde,
Ryghte pleasaunte for to reade,
Whereof perchaunce some youth are blynde,
And thereof shall haue nede,
Do not therefore despyse this boke
Because it goeth in ryme,
For they that on this boke doth loke,
