25

[This is the age that I would haue]

This is the age that I would haue,
These times for me are woondrous fit,
Each Ladie that is fine and braue,
With me delights to goe and sit.
My liuing lieth not in my lands,
Yet I am daintie, fine and sweete.
The Ladies take me in their hands,
Their lips and mine full often meete.
Their paps, their cheekes I well may touch,
In smiling sort with me they play,
Their husbands thereat thinke not much,
No: though I downe with them doe lay:
In sooth it is a foolish sin,
When foolish husbands iealous bin.

A fan of feathers.
