The Riddles of Heraclitus and Democritus | ||
25
[This is the age that I would haue]
This is the age that I would haue,These times for me are woondrous fit,
Each Ladie that is fine and braue,
With me delights to goe and sit.
My liuing lieth not in my lands,
Yet I am daintie, fine and sweete.
The Ladies take me in their hands,
Their lips and mine full often meete.
Their paps, their cheekes I well may touch,
In smiling sort with me they play,
Their husbands thereat thinke not much,
No: though I downe with them doe lay:
In sooth it is a foolish sin,
When foolish husbands iealous bin.
