Of a glorious manne and a playne frende.
In wanton ryme a greate grave matterA gloryous manne shewed to his frende:
Whoe sayde strayte beinge lothe to flatter,
The bodye was marred with a fonde ryme.
This manne then his labor lothe to lose
Turnethe his madde myter into sadde prose,
And to be glorified above the starres
To his frendes iudgemente agayne it referres:
