CONTRAST.
The crow's harsh note loud through a century rings,The nightingale is mute ere twenty Springs!
When Bacon speaks, such golden thoughts attend,
The fear of all men is that he will end;—
When Borus rises, every drowsy son
Thinks of his watch, and prays the oration done.
