Rhyme for the Turkeys
There were fine great wigwamsBy the river,
And five tremendous turkeys appeared
With gobble-gobbles wicked and weird
And struttings marvellous and vain.
These turkey gods that the Indians feared
Pitched the wigwams into the river,
And ate the Indians like small grain.
