THE WORLD AND THE WORLD.
IF all the world must see the world
As the world the world hath seen,
Then it were better for the world
That the world had never been.
As the world the world hath seen,
Then it were better for the world
That the world had never been.
Yet if the world could see the world
As the world the world might see,
Then a happier world than this old world
Perhaps could never be.
As the world the world might see,
Then a happier world than this old world
Perhaps could never be.
Oh, world that lives upon the world!
You travel far too slow!
Oh world! green grave of all the world,
How wondrous swift you go.
You travel far too slow!
Oh world! green grave of all the world,
How wondrous swift you go.
