Heart of autumn!
Weather meet,
Like to sherbert
Cool and sweet.

And him I see
Prying, peeping
From Beech-tree;
Crickling, crackling
Gleefully!
But, affrighted
By wee sound,
Presto! vanish—
Whither bound?
