OUTSIDE MY WINDOW.

Five little pigeons perched on the barn roof,
Watching the corn in the hen yard below;
Close around the white cat is hiding,
Hoping to catch them if down they should go.
All of a sudden I open my window,
With a whiz and a burr the pigeons are gone,
Pussy darts off round the house in a twinkling,
And the little white chickens eat up all the corn!
