ESTATE OF MISS LOUISE MATHILDE POWELL: COMMITTEE TO ACT IN SETTLEMENT THEREOF:
The following resolution was adopted:
RESOLVED, that a committee composed of the President and Dr. W. D. Haden be and is hereby
appointed and that full power and authority is hereby given said committee to act for this
Board in any and all matters arising in or out of the settlement of the estate of Miss
Louise Mathilde Powell, of Staunton, Virginia, under whose will, which was recently admitted
to probate in the Clerk's Office of the Corporation Court of Staunton, Virginia,
a fund, which may amount to some $10,000 to $15,000, is given to the University IN TRUST,
the net income therefrom to be used as a loan fund for students in our Medical School.
