GEORGE MASON COLLEGE MATTERS
ELECTION
The President proposed and the Board adopted the following resolution
RESOLVED by the Board of Visitors of The Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia that
the following person be and he is hereby elected to the faculty
Mr. Robert H. Reid as Professor of History, effective 1 September 1963, at a salary of $10,700
plus 20 per cent for summer work and $1,660 for administrative duties. (During the interim between
Mr. Reid's election and his assumption of the Directorship on 1 January 1964, he will be responsible
for familiarizing himself with the duties of the Directorship and progressively assuming responsibility
for planning budget and staffing in preparation for opening of the College in the new
buildings.)
APPOINTMENTS
The President announced the following appointments
Mr. Patrick J. Larkin as Librarian, for one year, effective 16 June 1963.
Mr. Lee H. Potter as Dean of George Mason College, for one year, effective 1 July 1963
Mr. Robert H. Reid as Director of George Mason College, effective 1 January 1964
