STATEMENT BY THE RECTOR

Mr. Edward E. Elson, Rector Pro Tem, in announcing the election, said, "I convey the congratulations of the Board of

Visitors to Mr. Casteen, the President-Elect of the University of Virginia." He announced that a Press Conference would be held in the lower West Oval Room of the Rotunda immediately following the meeting.

There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 2:08 p.m.
