LEAVES OF ABSENCE
- The following resolution was adopted:
RESOLVED by The Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia that the following faculty members be and they are hereby granted leave of absence: - Mr. Cecil A. Hutchinson, Professor of History, for one semester, effective September 1, 1979, to pursue research.
- Mrs. Phyllis R. Koch-Sheras, Counseling Psychologist and Assistant Professor, General Faculty, for one semester, effective January 16, 1979, for maternity leave.
- Dr. William Neikirk, Associate Professor of Pediatrics, for the period January 16, 1979, through January 15, 1982, to assume appointment as Medical Director for the Bureau of Child Health, Virginia State Department of Health.
- Mr. Michael Ryan, Assistant Professor of English, for the period September 1, 1979, through May 31, 1980, to accept a fellowship with the Society for the Humanities at Cornell.
- Mrs. Gertrude E. Schroeder, Professor of Economics, for one semester, effective September 1, 1979, to pursue research interests and travel in the USSR and Eastern Europe.
