LEAVES OF ABSENCE

  • The following resolution was adopted:
    RESOLVED by The Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia that the following faculty members be and they are hereby granted leave of absence:
  • Mr. John Casey, Associate Professor of English, for one academic year, effective September 1, 1979, for research and writing.
  • Mr. John C. Coleman, Assistant Professor of English, for one semester, effective January 16, 1980, for travel and study.
  • Mr. D. Barry Gaspar, Assistant Professor of History, for one semester, effective January 16, 1979, to resolve a visa problem.
  • Mr. Alan B. Howard, Associate Professor of English, for one-half time, for one semester, effective January 16, 1979, for writing.

  • Mr. David Little, Professor of Religious Studies, for one academic year, effective September 1, 1979, to serve as Henry B. Luce Visiting Professor in Comparative Religious Ethics, Amherst College.
  • Mr. Glen O. Robinson, Professor of Law, for the period June 1, 1979, through January 15, 1980, to serve as Chairman of the United States Delegation to the 1979 World Administrative Radio Conference to be held in Geneva, Switzerland.
  • Mr. Herbert Stein, A. Willis Robertson Professor of Economics, for one semester, effective January 16, 1979, to undertake a study of recent experience with income policies.
