RESIGNATIONS
- The following resignations were announced:
- Mr. John F. Burleigh, Assistant Professor of Government and Foreign Affairs, effective May 31, 1978, to accept a position at James Madison College.
- Dr. C. Bruce Greyson, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, effective August 31, 1978, to accept a position at the University of Michigan.
- Mrs. Deborah A. Gutschera, Assistant Professor of English, effective May 31, 1978, because of family relocation.
- Mr. Laurin L. Henry, Professor of Government and Foreign Affairs, effective May 31, 1978, to accept a job as Dean of Community Services at Virginia Commonwealth University.
- Mr. David R. Hopper, Acting Assistant Professor of Government and Foreign Affairs, effective May 31, 1978, to rejoin family in California.
- Mr. Charlie D. Hurt, III, Assistant Professor, General Faculty, Engineering Library, effective September 25, 1978, to work on a doctorate in library science.
- Dr. Julian I. Kitay, Professor of Internal Medicine, effective September 30, 1978, to accept a position at the University of Texas, Galveston, as Associate Dean.
- Mrs. Diana E. E. Kleiner, Assistant Professor of Art, effective May 31, 1978, because of family relocation.
- Dr. Diane M. Komp, Professor of Pediatrics, effective September 30, 1978, to accept a position at Yale University.
- Mr. Jules I. Levine as Associate Dean of Medicine, effective September 30, 1978, to accept the position of Assistant Vice-President for Health Affairs, for five years, effective October 1, 1978. Mr. Levine is also Associate Professor of Pediatrics.
- Dr. William J. Logan, Associate Professor of Neurology, effective August 31, 1978, to accept a position at the University of Toronto.
- Dr. Lever F. Stewart, Associate Professor of Neurology, effective July 3, 1978, for personal reasons.
- Mr. Robert G. Templin, Jr., Assistant Professor of Education, effective August 15, 1978, to accept the position of Dean of Instruction at Piedmont Virginia Community College.
- Dr. E. Darracott Vaughan, Jr., Professor of Urology, effective August 31, 1978, to accept a position at New York Hospital, Cornell University.
- Mr. Edward J. White as Assistant Dean, School of Engineering and Applied Science, effective January 15, 1979, to devote full time to teaching and research. (Assistant Deanship only).
- Dr. Donald J. Wright as Assistant Vice-President for Health Affairs, effective September 30, 1978, for personal reasons. (Dr. Wright will maintain his Associate Professorship in Biomedical Engineering.)
