Prof. Courtenay having died on the 21st of December, 1853, the duties of
instructing the senior and intermediate classes in the school of Mathematics were
assigned to Mr. A. L. Nelson, and Mr. Wm. Dinwiddie appointed assistant in
structor in his place.
