In Bedd a younge man with his old wife laie
Oh wife quoth hee Iv'e lett a thing to daie
By which I feare I am a looser much
His wife replies, youthes bargaines still are suche
Soe turning from him (angrie at hir harte)
Shee vn-awares letts-out a thundring—
Oh wife quoth hee noe looser I am nowe
A marles greate sauer I am made by you
Younge men that old wiues haue neede neuer sell
Because old wiues (quoth hee) letts things soe well.
