84. On the First borne.
The First-borne of th'Egyptians all were slaine,From him that holds the Scepter to the Swayne:
But all that are First-borne in Israel, be
Accepted, Lord, and sanctifide to Thee:
Thy lookes are alwayes turn'd upon the Prime
Of all our Actions, Words, our thoughts, our time;
Thy pleased Eye is fixt upon the First;
And from the Womb w'are thine, or else accurst.
