43. That inconveniences ought to be regarded to beforehand.

To wait for crosses, that may happen, is
The meane whereby to beare them easily;
They not being much unlike the Cockatrice,
Which, if fore-seene by us, dyes instantly:
While unexpected misadventures kill
Joy in the breed, and tyrannize the will.
