Against Fortune-tellers, commonly called, Wise-men.
Sith all our Knowledge from our Senses comes,
which oft mistake, then must our Wisedome needs
Mistake, as oft as Error ouer-comes
our Knowledge, that from erring Sense proceedes.

Then all our Wisedome must be most vnsure,
as are the grounds from whence the same doth grow;
Yet some great Wise men hardly can endure
that God should know that, which they do not know.

more then they ought they seeme to know, at least;
These are the Wise-men that by Fooles are sought,
to shew euents to come to giue them rest:
On whom they doe bestow a Wise-mans see,
