Dies mei sicut vmbra declinauerunt, & ego sicut fenum arui.

My dayes passiden as schadow of liȝt,
And I wexide drye as dooþ the gras;
I wente as man with-outen myȝt,
Where-so I trad was blody tras.
Whanne I þus deolfully was diȝt,
That neuere dyde ony trespas,
