A close-up look at the aspects of nuclear research at the University will be given to the public beginning Friday, September 20, in a series of guided tours at the University's physics accelerator building. The accelerator, situated on Mr. Jefferson on the western side of the Grounds, will be open to all interested persons throughout the year on alternate Fridays from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Seen with the accelerator above is a neutron spectrometer and a scattering chamber.
