15. To Mrs. Mary Coke, an Acrostick.

My busie eyes lately captiv'd me so
Above my strength, I know not what to do.
Retain my Liberty I could not: all
Your beauties, Lady, needs must make a thrall.
Could I but shew my heart, which I desire;
On it your Picture you might see entire.
Kinde therefore be, and let it be your will
Effectually to save, and not to kill.
