WE HAVE BEEN FRIENDS TOGETHER.
We have been friends together,
In sunshine and in shade;
Since first beneath the chesnut trees
In infancy we played.
But coldness dwells within thy heart,
A cloud is on thy brow;

Shall a light word part us now?
