The poetical works of Edward Rowland Sill | ||
Unmarried to the steel, the flint is cold:
Strike one to the other, and they wake in fire.
Strike one to the other, and they wake in fire.
A solitary fagot will not burn:
Bring two, and cheerily the flame ascends.
Alone, man is a lifeless stone; or lies
A charring ember, smouldering into ash.
Bring two, and cheerily the flame ascends.
Alone, man is a lifeless stone; or lies
A charring ember, smouldering into ash.
