Psalm LXXXII.
1
Amidst the great and mighty ones,The Lord himself doth stand:
For he is Judge among the gods,
And princes of the land.
2
How long will ye unjustly judge,And favour men of might?
Defend the poor and fatherless,
And do the needy right.
3
They will not see nor understand,But blindly still go on:
The strong foundations of the earth,
Are out of order gone.
4
I said indeed that ye were Gods,And sons of the most high:
134
And shall like others die.
5
Arise, O God, and judge the earth,And save us all from wrong:
For all the nations of the world,
To thee alone belong.
