Epigr. 37. Ad Guilielmum Sutton.
I vowde to make an Epigram a day,But setting pen to paper twolde not saye.
I wanted matter and inuention.
My pen was tired, and my witt was donne.
Sutton this losse thou well mayst recompense,
Taking out wordes and putting in some sense:
Perhaps thou wilt not, for thou think'st it best,
To leaue some bad which may cōmend the rest.
