SLOWLY, SAFELY, AND SURELY.
“For ye shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight: for the
Lord will go before you; and the God of Israel will be your rearward.”

When Israel's sons from Egypt's land
Were brought by God's resistless hand,
Not their's the captive's fearful flight,
But the strong march of guarded might.

To guard and guide to Canaan's shore;
By night a fire to point their way,
A pillar of a cloud by day.
