A Birthday Greeting to me Father.
1860.
'Tis fully known to One, by us yet dimly seen,
The blessing thou hast been;
Yet speaks the silent love of many a mourning heart
The blessing that thou art;
While traced on coming years, in faith and hope we see,
‘A blessing thou shalt be;’
Then here in holy labour, there in holier rest,
Blessing, thou shalt be blessed.
